The film was released on June 21, 2017 in the United States by Paramount Pictures. It received generally negative reviews from critics and grossed $605 million worldwide against a production budget between $217260 million, losing Paramount an estimated $100 million with marketing and distribution costs factored in. However, it was nominated for ten Golden Raspberry Awards, including Worst Picture and Worst Director for Bay.
